What’s more, lately a lot of movies focus on the lives of sports players, various missions solved by the army men, etc. Their lives, struggles and aspirations have turned out to be a hit with the younger crowd by making them aware of various career opportunities and also the harsh sides of achieving the same. Mary Kom is another movie which inspires people to take up boxing as a career. Mary Kom’s adamancy for becoming a boxer is portrayed along with the difficulties she endured such as leaving her own family when asked to choose shows her spirit and also her love for boxing. Her wish to win a medal for India has also created a patriotic feeling amongst its viewers and have encourages people to do something for their nation.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a story based on an Indian athlete who was a national champion runner and an Olympian. Despite the trauma faced by Milkha Singh, be it his parents’ death during the partition or him being bullied by senior boys whom he defeated in a race, he doesn’t accept failure. Moreover, inspite of being injured, he participates in a race conducted to form the Indian team for Olympics. Not just this he even wins the race. When defeated in the Olympics he comes back and trains even harder and wins it the next time. This movie teaches us that everybody fails but the important thing is to get up again and work even harder to achieve their goals.
Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty, a movie based on the life of an army man and how he along with other people does all he can to protect his country from terrorist attacks even if it means putting his own life at stake. It encourages people to enter the army and defend their country from such attacks. People have been inspired to fight for their country and their countrymen and women.
I am Kalam is a story about an underprivileged kid who is inspired by former Indian President, A.P.J Abdul Kalam. The story traces the life of the boy who struggles to receive an education. This movie creates awareness amongst people especially underprivileged kids on the importance of education and how everybody should work hard to receive it. It also inspires general people as it delivers a message that they are lucky to have born in a family which is capable of providing them education and therefore they should respect it.
